"Always." Megatron agrees. "Whatever good I can, for as long as I can."
At Rutile's question, he folds his arms over his chest and frowns. "Damned little, I'm afraid. We were at the opposite end of the galaxy dealing with our own little crisis when the Functionists followed me across from their universe with their version of Cybertron. By the time we'd gotten back, the conflict with Unicron was already over. I didn't have much time to learn a great deal about what happened before I left...save that victory was achieved at great cost. Our version of Cybertron, all its colony worlds, abd great number of our own race had to give their lives to stop it." His expression falls a little at that. Optimus had sacrificed himself-for good this time, it seemed-to end Unicron's rampage. Starscream too, his Starscream, had done the same. "It accomplished more devastation in the few weeks it was active than I managed in four million years of war. And that was when it was still following its original directives; with Adaptus in control of it..." He frowns, then looks back up.
"I believe I might have spoken to you in the past a little about our mythology, yes?" He asks curiously. "The Guiding Hand, and all that. Do you remember?" Megatron himself hadn't been in full possession of all the facts at the time. It would probably do to give Rutile a more complete understanding, so they would know how dangerous the Grand Architect truly was, especially with a weapon like Unicron at his disposal.
