Event || Gatcha Gatcha Adventure!!
Who: Open to all
When: June 23rd-30th
Where: West Oktavia
What: The Triumvirate would like tomake money off of welcome the Heroes of Light to their private oceanside residence to have your very own Hero of Light Cards designed. Enjoy this preview of what promises to be Vaikuntha's new most popular iMog game!
Warnings/Notes: Rampant consumerism
This Place isn't Short on Comforts
The mansion the Triumvirate offers up for the Heroes' use is a picture of opulence.... The stone is trimmed in polished marble and gold, the windows are all stained glass depictions of their greatest financial triumphs. The door stretches high above what the windows suggest to be a second story.
It's so tall, in fact, that even non-lalafel-sized visitors can enter. It's lucky the Triumvirate is so obsessed with showing off their wealth here- everything is twice as big as they need it to be, which means the Heroes probably won't bump their heads on the way in.
What's inside? A large indoor pool, a fully-stocked lounge and bar, a grand piano, a wine cellar, a parlor, secret passage ways between rooms. If you can imagine it in a classy mansion, it's probably here. The tiny owners have SPARED NO EXPENSEplease be careful if you visit the raptor cages out back though, they are clever girls.
There's a room for your Hero to stay for the week, though if you've requested a roommate, you'll have one. Please try to be responsible guests and don't trash the place too much!
Clothes Maketh the Hero
Hope you weren't planning on sleeping in, though. There's work to be done, after all. Those 5 Star Pictures won't take themselves. A horde of fashion-moogles are just waiting to descend on your Hero and get them dressed and ready for their photoshoot. Or perhaps you've brought your own costume to wear? Maybe you're still frantically sewing, or planning a last minute shopping trip to pick up something you forgot. Whatever prep it takes, you need to be ready for...
Throwing Shadows!
You're all dressed up and ready to be a star (or five!) Photo-pupus (or Pupu-tographers, it's not easy to understand which one they prefer) will shepherd your character to their designated photoshoot location. They've got locations on the beach, in a fancy yacht, on a stage with various and sundry backdrops. These visionary artists are here to make you look good. Try not to get into too much trouble or mess up your hair in between shoots, please. And ABSOLUTELY NO PHOTOBOMBING.
The Battle for Beauty
Being this fabulous isn't easy...especially with all the monsters that keep trying to sneak in and take a bite out of the staff. Care to do the crew a favor and take up arms to clear the area of random encounters? And before you ask, yes, the Triumvirate is keeping close watch over your fighting style, not that they're planning on stealing your moves for a fighting element for their game, noooooo.
Give Me a Break
Luckily, it's not all work and no play. There's plenty of down time for you to explore the surrounding area. There's a private beach with a glass-bottom boat you can take out, jet skis, inner-tubes, and all sorts of beach games to play. Closer to the mansion, there's a wooded area and hiking trails to explore, fishing holes, and a chocobo stable. This is basically a paid vacation, so have fun with it! There's weird ink stains near the outdoor hot tubs, and the staff has reported hearing strange "GWEE-HEE-HEE" laughter there, so be warned.
Luck be a Lady
The game has now gone live! Across the world, people with little to too much spare time download Heroes of Vaikuntha and collect cards of their favorite heroes and public figures. Those that are represented in the game are given 20 money tokens at the start, which usually have to be paid for with real life gil. Hopefully, you wont ever give into the impulse to lay down hundreds just to get that 5-star summer Ganeshan, right?
Apart from sinking in money, this game also has you quest through dungeons using the characters that have been collected, progress through the thread-bare story about protecting civilians from monsters, or assign them positions to a chocobo farm. The last bit is very important; how else can you breed chocobos to get better prizes and earn points? Perhaps one day, you too can get a golden chocobo through hard work and time.
Then again, luck is never on anyone's side. You just can never complete enough quests to buy the level up token for your own card...
