Heroes of Light, Battle! The Ultimate Golsaucian Tournament Begins!
Who: The Heroes of Light!
When: June 16th-19th
Where: Sparks Golsaucia
What: After weeks of getting hounded by the press, corporations, and prospective fiances, Octavaux Dairesault offers the Heroes of Light a way out: by participating in this year's Golsaucian Gauntlet, taking the form of a fighting tournament.
Warnings/Notes: Tournament arc, congoers.
An Offer You Can't Refuse (Prelude)
It starts not long after June begins. Maybe somebody proposes to you in the middle of the street. Or you're bumrushed by a horde of solicitors who want to use your image for whatever product they're peddling. Or maybe a reporter literally busts down your door to get an interview. Whatever the case, the Heroes soon find it's impossible to find a semblance of peace and quiet in early June. Around every corner and in every building is somebody who is just dying to talk to you, or more commonly, several somebodies, each at cross purposes. Even your homes aren't safe, as a few particularly nutty fans are willing to break and enter to get your autograph.
You have to deal with all of this for a week, until you're contacted by Octavaux Dairesault, organizer of the previous year's smash hit Golsaucian Gauntlet. He's noticed (and perhaps orchestrated) your plight, and offers you a way out: simply participate in his tournament and/or the events around it, and the attention will lessen. Considering how things get worse every day, you don't have a lot of options...
Sparks Golsaucia HeroCon 20XX
As it turns out, the events around the tournament that Octavaux casually mentioned are really a huge, city-spanning con. Cosplayers are everywhere. Artist alley takes up two entire districts. You can't take two steps without bumping into a merchandise stall. Thankfully, the limos Octavaux has provided means that you don't have to fight your way through a horde of ravening fans to reach the centerpiece of the whole debacle: the arena. A massive Colosseum with bleeding-edge technology to allow for the creation of stages drawn from... something. Octavaux refuses to elaborate on that. Whatever the case, you finally have the respite that you need. There's delicious food, cushy bedrooms, exercise rooms... pretty much whatever you want. And best of all, nobody prying into your business. How will you spend your precious, precious free time?
Of course, the tournament isn't all some of you are here for. Maybe you've decided to host a panel, in which case you're contractually obligated to appear among thousands upon thousands of fans and give a spiel. And give autographs. Lots of autographs. With really weird requests too.

Whatever the case... the tournament is about to begin!

She attempted to active a timely Flash Step thanks to her passive job, intending to teleport to the other side of the area, still concealed.
> Flash Step (Self)
Allows to teleport up to twenty feet away.

Plus, he just seemed like a natural. Even the little slip-up right at the beginning hadn't slowed him down all that much!
That thought was effectively derailed by the ground starting to rumble, and Pidge leaned forward in her seat to get a better look at the action.
She watched as the arena reformed itself right in front of her eyes, and then things were moving pretty quickly after that. It occurred to her that she might be better at this if she had the slightest idea of what any of the current contestants could even do, but Pidge was nothing if not good at improvising.
Or something.
"I'm not entirely sure what Corrin just did, but it was certainly electrifying~ Eh~" She glanced over at Red expectantly. Clearly, she should never be allowed to do this.
Either way, she's a little more focused on watching the action than spitting out witty commentary. Couple that with the fact that she just didn't know a whole lot about any of them, and it was no wonder that she was being a little quieter than people might expect.
Truly, she was on the edge of her seat as the battle raged on.

Robin's Health: 92%
Robin's retaliatory salvo of crystallized ice and raw, unfiltered cold streaks across the battlefield, and hits Kid, dealing scratch damage. Unfortunately for Robin, Kid flashsteps out of the ice prison that the spell built for her, ending up in the moon mist!
Kid's Health: 98%

Didn't matter. He could power through this.
"We're already seein' the spells start to fly from Corrin and Robin! From what I hear, these two are used to bigger battles with bigger armies, but there's not a lot of room to plan or maneuver in a face-to-face fight like this one; looks like they're settin' aside their clever plans and startin' things off with lightning and ice straight to their foes!"
Another glance aside. See, Pidge? It's not that hard to think of something to say.
"Can't say the same for their teammates, though; Kid's breaks out from the ice and disappears into the mist! And Serge... uh..."
Red squinted down at the field. Was Serge somehow.... out-of-focus?
"...Well, he's got SOMETHIN' up his sleeve down there. Let's see how well our two warlords can think on their feet!"

Well oneof his alternate selves, at least. But with Serge occupying her attention, for the time being Corrin will have to leave Robin to Kid to deal with; at least she was able to soften the Tactician up a little with that Mjölnir. And if Robin keeps focusing on her, that will make it easier for Kid to get the drop on her.
"Oho, making it interesting, are we?" She asks with a chuckle. "All right, I'll take that bet, but I gotta say, Serge...awfully decent of you to pick up the tab for all of us like that!" And to attempt to ensure that will be the case, she extends her arm towards him, and it shifts into its draconic form, and with a wave she bestows her [Draconic Hex] on Serge, to sap his strength. Delaying tactics, that's what this calls for...if the Hex lands, it will weaken him and then it's just a matter of waiting out this doubling, blurry effect Serge has; she doesn't trust her ability to try and land a successful hit while she's finding him so hard to focus on.

In the mean time, she snapped off a [Broil] on Corrin. If Corrin wanted to delay the fight, she was going to have to deal with repeated damage.
Time Crash: Failure
Serge staggers slightly, when the Hex strikes him, his 'copy' flickers out of existence, only for a new one to split off as he breaks into a run, leaping into the air- and becoming, in an instant, a nova of light, bathing the battlefield in a [Luminaire].
"You got me, fair enough, but you're definitely paying the tab!"
> Luminaire:
An explosion of light that deals medium Holy-elemental damage in an area.
> Harmony, Melody:
Currently boosting Water/Ice, Lightning/Earth, Fire, and Holy/Meteor skills by 5% each.

Snapping her wrist, Kid caught ahold of a rope out from... somewhere— which seemed to disrespect the holiest laws of reality. From it, she swung out into view, auto-crossbow already loaded as she sailed across the battlefield, firing bolt after bolt as the rope lead her, hopefully, back into the mists on the other side.
"Better make sure there's no holes in yer wallet, mate!"
> Rope's End (AOE | Serge + Robin)
Swings from a rope magically held in the sky while shooting a barrage of
bulletscross-bolts dealing low damage to all enemies.no subject
Corrin's Health: 96.8%
The Arbiter snaps fully back into reality just to get afflicted by a Draconic Hex. Oh, what a terrible night to have a curse! But he's going to light up the night with a holy spell that still packs a punch despite his weakened state.
Kid avoids the Luminaire with ease, but Corrin gets hit full-force by the attack.
Corrin's Health: 94%
Swinging out of the mist, Kid swashbuckles in Serge and Robin's direction with incredible panache! Thanks to her sneak attack, she deals double damage, hitting the enemy team right where it hurts.
Robin's Health: 82.8%
Serge's Health: 91.2%
