Jeff counts the gil twice before nodding, putting the cash away, and slowly unhooking the rope to allow you to pass. “Enjoy the Ancient History Museum of Ka’Pandol,” he says in a dead, monotone voice.
Then he blinks, looking startled by the question, but shrugs off the offer for more money. “Oh, I’ve heard of that,” he says with a nod. “Apparently they made all those holes in the dome or something? Must have been moving pretty fast to do that. But uh, yeah, I’m, uh-”
His hands fiddle with the velvet rope, a grimace on his face. “I’m not looking for those stupid things. They’re dumb. Who even cares about that, anyway? It’s so dumb. Everyone’s dumb.”
