Clarus accepted and took his seat, sitting quietly as he watched the prince for a moment. Nothing Regis could do right now would surprise Clarus. Some habits had faded over time, or been replaced or nixed for whatever reason, but the shield still remembered each little quirk.

"The world, or the situation?" he asked with a slight chuckle. "The situation was odd and tense long before you arrived." Mostly because everyone else had to get used to a dead man living with them on top of everything else. "I think by this point we're all learning to adapt to our surroundings and taking the unexpected in as part of it all."
