[Selphie nods in answer to Ravus' question. She'll begin with telling a story that she only remembers the basic storyline to.]
From what I recall of the story, Hyne was a Sorcerer, or a Mage works too, that created our world. One day, after a sleeping for a long time, he was surprised to see all of the people in our world. He decided that there were too many people and tried to take some of them away. It turns out that a lot of people didn't like that and rose up against him. The people fought Hyne and cornered him in the process. As a result, he gave half of his magic to the people and ran away with the rest.
It's not really clear about what happened to the other half but that missing half is what supposedly gave the Sorceresses of my world, the only people who can use real magic, life. So I guess you could say that my God might only bestow his power upon a few but it drives them really crazy and it's started a lot of wars as a result.
[She shrugs her shoulders.] It is just a story though. It might not be true and could be something else entirely.
