[Someone was making an announcement was locating the fugitive l'Cie. Wait, what? How had they been located? It didn't take long to find out. The elevator led them right to an ambush. Hope wasn't sure how, but next thing he knew, they were surrounded by soldiers with guns pointed straight at him and Lightning.
His heart raced and he shook in fear, backing up until his back his Lightning's. "Start running."
He turned in shock, looking up at the woman. "Wha...-!"
"I'll keep 'em busy."
"But-!"
"You survive."
Hope shook his head. No, he couldn't just leave her! He was still inexperienced, hardly fit for battle, but as l'Cie, they really did need to keep running. But he... he couldn't just abandon her! He stumbled back slightly, his heart pounding louder as his eyes flitted to the armed soldiers around him.]
II. Arrival
[He awakened with a soft cry, arm reaching out for... something. But all he saw is an unfamiliar roof overhead. What? Hadn't they just been... turning to crystal? Fang and Vanille became Ragnorak and then...]
What?
[His frozen brand was still on his arm, partially hidden by the yellow wrist band. But he couldn't feel Alexander. He sat up, patting himself down. No crystal shards, his body entirely human. He tried to cast Cure on himself, but nothing happened. His magic was gone? But how could that be? The brand on his arm told him he was still a l'Cie!
Hope swallowed at sat up, looking around. It wasn't long before he was up and stepping out into the lobby, suddenly greeted by the hologram explaining just what was going on. It only made Hope's head spin and his confusion mount. He saw no sign of the others, either.]
Light? Vanille? ...anyone?
III. Moogle Time!
[Hope held Mogki almost like a stuffed animal, not that the ball of fluff seemed to mind. Holding in his tiny paws was the iMog slate and he was very busy explaining this very important piece of tech!!
Not that Hope was listening. Well, he was, kind of. He nodded and hummed to show he was listening but his eyes looked elsewhere about the Curti Center. Just what was he supposed to do now? He was officially going to be living on another world, with this little Moogle as his guide. He sighed, resting his chin on the fuzzy head of his new companion.]
Now what?
Kupo! What do you mean, "now what?" haven't you been listening?!
[He got a bop on the head with the slate for that. Hope winced with a little grunt, but he had the grace to look properly chastised.]
It was just an expression, Mogki... sorry. [The moogle huffed and then went about explaining one more time.]
IV. House B-09
Are you sure this is the place, Mogki?
[He had managed to snag a backpack to stuff with as much essential supplies as he could and now he stood in front of the house that he would be sharing with a couple strangers, fellow people from other worlds. The moogle in his arms nodded enthusiastically.]
Yup! Kupo, this is it! You should go inside to meet your new temporary roommates, kupo!
[He sighed. Guess he had no choice, did he? He sighed, hiked up his backpack a little and knocked on the door.]
