[The scene is a large, tastefully decorated receiving room with white marble walls and floor. Light streams in from large windows, and if travelers look out, they will see a city built on the water.
A young woman dressed in white sits slumped in a chair. Beside her, a white dog lies, dozing. Both seem exhausted. They do not notice the presence of the visitors from the Dream Width.
The door opens slowly, making no noise, and a man slips in and seals the door just as quietly. He's made arrangements to be here, but they must go undiscovered by the agents of the Empire. The dog looks up as he passes, but recognizing the figure and not considering him a threat to her mistress, she settles herself back down.
Hands, one gloved and one metal, reach out to gently touch the woman's shoulders. She stirs, groaning softly, as if the effort to lift her head is monumental. She uncurls her clenched fist, offering up a ring to her visitor. Her supplicating look is met with surprise, and the man takes a step back with a sharp inhale of breath, remembering the last time he saw that piece of jewelry.
I beg of you... her voice is breathless, almost slurring in her exhaustion. Please, see the ring to Noctis... on my behalf.
She finds the strength to lift her head and look at her brother, her wish outweighing, for a moment, the frailty of her body. He has turned away, letting his eyes drift to the window, to the waters that house the Hydraean slumbers.]
Arrival
[Ravus returns to his senses on the ship, and he goes to push himself up from his cot in the same moment his eyes snap open. He finds his magitek prosthetic missing, and it takes him a moment to find his balance.]
Where...[he starts to ask, but cuts himself off. The surroundings are unfamiliar, and drawing attention to himself may not be wise. He looks around, seeking a source of information.]
Housing
No. [The young moogle Estoc, with a flower tucked behind one ear and a sword the size of letter opener hanging from a swordbelt at her waste, waves the key in front of Ravus's face once more.]
Why wouldn't you want to live with the other people from your world, kupo? That way, you won't be homesick, kupo!
[To her, it sounds like a great idea. Her charge, on the other hand, continues to glare at her, at the key, and at House C-01. He can't deal with this right now, so the two of them are arguing with one another in the front yard.]
[[OOC: Hi all, I am going to be slow on replies from Jun 6th-June 11th, as I'm heading out of town.]]
