Eventually, Dante will take a proper break and let himself soak in the water for a little while. The food's cooking nicely, no long lines, no big fuss, all is pretty alright for the next few minutes. If this were a lake, he'd absolutely interrupt a get-together with a cannonball.
Instead, he'll settle in along the side of one and keep himself underwater for a while. Water breathing is nice. It lets him chill under the surface and blow bubbles for like, minutes on end. It's a little childish, but Dante himself is a manchild. It checks out.
