He's only just made it outside into the hallway and just being away from the festivities in there seems to have delivered a brief reprieve to the first tingles of what could be an exhaustion-migraine coming on. He's done it to himself a few times, before in those first weeks in existence on Vaikuntha; or so he remembers Jennifer informing him so.

Yet, no matter how hollowed out he might be feeling right now off the back of that stunt with Calamity Knight, Sephiroth's sharp self-preservative instinct quickly perks his attention to the fact he's being watched - and it's apparent as soon as he spots Tyzias that she's putting no small effort into inspecting him. Much like the same way he studied her one time aboard a spaceship to the Rift.

As she casually looks away, he follows that gaze to her drink as well. Hardly seems appropriate, catching a beer at a time like this when the mission is yet to be completed. At the same time, Sephiroth finds himself wondering if taking a hard drink and crashing for a few hours might actually sort him out for the battle later.

"Indeed. The concept of a tomorrow after today hasn't exactly been a priority for a while."

Tyzias snorts, the sound of some sort of carapace clicking intermingling with the exhalation. It's a disturbingly insectile sound for somebody that looks so humanoid. "That's definitely a way you could put it, yeah," she mutters, arching her back and rolling her shoulders.

The troll turns to face Sephiroth directly, nailing him to the wall with her gaze. "It's weird. I know I'm supposed to be relieved that the weight of the world's going to be off my shoulders once we take down the Cond-- the Empress and her overgrown scalebeast... but I think I'm gonna miss it, in some twisted, fucked-up way.

"I've never felt... this alive in my entire life. Like I have something really, actually important to do instead of just sitting in my hive, trawling through millennia of old legal documents and hoping that maybe I'll make the world slightly less shitty in the distant future."

Tyzias shrugs. "Eh. Who knows. Maybe I'll end up being too dead to care after the battle."

The strange accompaniment to Tyzias' snort is noticed for sure, but it doesn't seem to be enough of a trigger that would cause any reaction in Sephiroth's expression or body language; he's been here long enough to have learned that there are all sorts of different species represented here, similar to humanoid and not.

Under Tyzias' intense glare, Sephiroth seems to pull his own back into a more casual demeanor. Slowly blinking and tilting his head ever so slightly to one side in a tolerant -if not exactly friendly- way as she speaks. He follows her logic, though it's not one he'd really adopt. How many loops could possibly be gone through before time and space imploded on itself and produced the same end that Ramaa herself was trying to bring about?

"We'll all be...something else entirely, in a reality without life or death. I'd prefer not to be part of the all-encompassing Void."

Tyzias nods slowly, taking another sip of her beer. It was difficult to figure out Sephiroth. Most of the Heroes of Light had incredibly bombastic personalities, one way or another--even Tyzias, in her own way. But Sephiroth was disconcertingly neutral.

"Same here." Tyzias shrugs, shoving a hand into her coat pocket. "I've died... fuck, fifty-two, fifty-three times at this point? I've lost count. But... every time I've been disintegrated into atomic dust or eaten by fracturing reality, it felt. Real. Meaningful. Sure, death fuckin' sucks, but at least it can mean something. Gives some more weight to all the bullshit we put up with while we're alive too.

"Existing without a world without either just sounds like hell."

A thoughtful crease to the corner of his mouth forms as Tyzias recounts her death experiences and Sephiroth can't help but wonder if she's referring to just the events here on Vaikuntha, or if it might be from before. Does he dare to impart such information about himself at this point so as to lay out a conversation in that way? Risky. There would be no gain for him in doing so-

"None of us would know, life and death are a part of existence. It'd be literally nothing. I'm not prepared to accept that, hence here we are now."

Tyzias nods, staring deep into her beer can. "Yeah. I'm pretty sure that spending an eternity in clown hell is better than... that."

"Clown hell?"

Small talk, perhaps, but it can't hurt to know. If anything, should Tyzias be prepared to divulge information about their own experiences, it can only enrich his accumulated knowledge. Who knows it might one day be useful.

"No joke, Alternia's land was ruled exclusively by incredibly brutal and vicious clowns." She takes a sip of her beer, glancing sideways. There is no indication that Tyzias is lying or joking at all. Unfortunately, the troll's telling the truth. "Their mythology is rap-based, and yes, it's exactly as ridiculous as it sounds, though probably a lot more horrifying than what you imagine."

"Sounds exactly that; ridiculously horrifying."

There are places Sephiroth's imagination doesn't really go and what Tyzias just described stretches it somewhere close; sure, he recalls there are a handful of clown-like monsters from his own Planet which clung to more-haunted places, but the idea of them ruling in their own right...and a rap-mythology?

"It never ceases to amaze, how many different and varying Worlds there must be out there."
