Megatron | Open
But now Megatron recognizes there's value in such celebrations; taking time to celebrate victories both large and small, to relax, to take a moment and actually enjoy oneself. Of course there is still the fight to come, and that is important...but so is this. To celebrate life, and experience these little moments of joy, and the rush of grace that accompanies them. His time in the Functionist universe taught him that; every species saved from the Council, every success, every thwarted genocide and the work that was required to make that happen, it was necessary, for both body and Spark. What better way for people to come together?
There's a glass of Energon from the convertor in Megatron's hand as he makes his way through the crowds, making conversation and actually seeming to enjoy himself, and encouraging others to do the same while they can. Curiously, he's attached something else to his chestplate; a small golden badge that appears to bear the face of a smirking Cybertronian and might have once been flame-shaped, though this is difficult to tell given that a huge chunk of it appears to have been broken off.. The gold is also scarred and worn though it seems Megatron has taken quite a few pains to clean it up as best he can. Normally he keeps it safe in a small compartment in his chassis, but for this occasion he's brought it out and wears it with pride.

He steps forth to have a better look at it, standing behind the imposing mech. "What is that you have in your hand?" The glass designed for humans is large in his irreducible hands.

"Something familiar." He says, and then turns and presents the battered, broken, yet gleaming badge bearing the familiar self-satisfied smirk to Minimus. "I found it waiting for me Starlight morning." Many people had received such mysterious gifts he'd discovered...and Megatron couldn't have been happier that the Star was his.

"What did you do with it?" Honestly, he expected better from Megatron. Not that Megatron was any good to begin with...but he refers to his dedication to detail.
"...Megatron, the chemicals in that drink stick to any metal without the use of water or lipids."

Minimus' chiding causes him to look up in mild surprise. "Ah, you're right." He says. "There were pitchers of water..." He looks around.
no subject
"Give that to me." There were many crevices in the Rodimus Star that requires attention to detail, and the thought of Megatron missing any groove crawls up this arms as if it were fast-acting rust.

"How do you gauge our chances this time?" He asks while Minimus works. It's cold, impersonal stuff, asking him about the upcoming battle, but he knows Minimus will have been thinking about it, and more importantly, it's safe. While things have cooled a little between the two of them, Megatron knows Minimus still has severe reservations about him, and certain topics-many topics in fact-are still taboo. Strategizing about the coming battle should not be one of them.

"If the sky is an indication of our likelihood of defeating Bahamut and Empress Ramaa, then this normal color is reassuring. The state of the world is not as poor as it had been the first time we experienced it." There was a scratch. Minimus adjusts his hold on the napkin to get into the narrow passage. "With assistance from the natives of this planet, our changes are higher than zero for once"
He checks his progress. A million-to-on chance is still poor, but it allows for some leeway to victory.
"I am unsure how the Legendary Eidolons are meant to play a role. Do we expect them to fight Bahamut for us?"

He nods, putting his hand to his chin in thought. "It's the reasonable assumption to make. The other Eidolons must be comparable in size to it, and we couldn't do much on our own to penetrate its scales the first time. The other Eidolons must be for dealing with Bahamut; our fight will be with Ramaa, I'm certain of that.
He taps his finger against his chin in thought. "Which means she must still have a hand to play, despite the fact that her plan to have Vaikuntha decimated before Bahamut's arrival are in ruins." The difficulty of course was they had no way of knowing what that last hand would end up being.

The juice stain came out of hiding when his tilts it toward the window. A smattering of dried sugar dates Minimus to remove it.
"Nonetheless, I should assume that we do not use our Melodies in the upcoming fight."
