Megatron wasn't one for this sort of thing for a very long time; even back during his tenure as the warlord of the Decepticons, while victory celebrations could get quite rowdy (and bloody) when a planet was successfully subjugated or a great many Autobots were killed in one battle or another, Megatron never participated. There had always been another front that required his attention, another battle that needed to be planned, another threat to his rule that had to be squashed. There was no time to waste on such trivial, foolish matter as a victory celebration; the Lord of the Decepticons did not revel alongside the common grunts. Even during his time on the Lost Light he had kept apart from such celebrations when they happened; there had still always been work to do, and it was unlikely he'd have been welcome at most of them anyway.
But now Megatron recognizes there's value in such celebrations; taking time to celebrate victories both large and small, to relax, to take a moment and actually enjoy oneself. Of course there is still the fight to come, and that is important...but so is this. To celebrate life, and experience these little moments of joy, and the rush of grace that accompanies them. His time in the Functionist universe taught him that; every species saved from the Council, every success, every thwarted genocide and the work that was required to make that happen, it was necessary, for both body and Spark. What better way for people to come together?

There's a glass of Energon from the convertor in Megatron's hand as he makes his way through the crowds, making conversation and actually seeming to enjoy himself, and encouraging others to do the same while they can. Curiously, he's attached something else to his chestplate; a small golden badge that appears to bear the face of a smirking Cybertronian and might have once been flame-shaped, though this is difficult to tell given that a huge chunk of it appears to have been broken off.. The gold is also scarred and worn though it seems Megatron has taken quite a few pains to clean it up as best he can. Normally he keeps it safe in a small compartment in his chassis, but for this occasion he's brought it out and wears it with pride.
