The Dragon and the Fox (Who Is Also A Dragon)
[Who]: Corrin and Tilly
[When]: February, sometime before the Know Your Heart and Darkness events.
[Where]: Nakagawa, Cavalier's Guild
[What]: Corrin decides drops Black Mage and decides to take up the role of Cavalier to replace it, much to Tilly's delight.
"Easy there, fella. It's all right. There, you like that?"
Corrin gently strokes the feathers of her new Chocobo, who "kwehs" contentedly at the motion. Dropping Black Mage was the right idea, she thinks to herself. Originally, it had been a way to get back the magical prowess she'd lost upon her arrival in Vaikuntha, or at least a facsimile of it. But she'd severely neglected the asterisk in favour of Dark Knight during her first few months, and now she had her old magical abilities back now that her Nohr Noble custom asterisk was complete. There was no need for Black Mage anymore.
But being in Nakagawa put the Cavalier Guild in her own backyard, and so here she was. Nohr had a strong chivalric tradition, after all; and even though she found Dark Knight suited her very well, Cavalier had a somewhat irresistible pull. It was the "classic" image of knighthood; several chivalric romances had been part of her library at the Northern Fortress growing up and they had left a mark on her. Xander and Silas had both been Nohrian Cavaliers starting out, and Sophie had taken up the mantle once she'd come of age; now Corrin could follow in their footsteps.
The red armour they'd found for her was interesting. Red wasn't normally what Corrin considered her colour, but it was growing on her. Felt...right, somehow.
Corrin steps back so her Chocobo-Siegabo, as she'd named him, a joke that went entirely over the attendant's heads-could get a better look at her. She plants her lance on the ground.
"Well, Siegabo? What do you think?" She asks with a grin. "Do I seem...knightly?"
