Ignis is not denying that the memories didn't happen. But the way they manifested- it was too much for him. Having to hear prophecy over and over again and then Noct's memory too- all those daemons and the Crystal. He knows it happened and just the thought of it makes his stomach twist unpleasantly.

He looks down at Noct's hand when he pulls away and can't help but smile- Carbuncle. He followed Noct through whatever bullshit magic brought them here just to protect Noct. He places his hand over Noct's where he's holding the totem and squeezes it briefly. 'Look after him, Carbuncle.'
