[ Monika. Monika? Was someone calling out to her? And then-- ]
Huh?
[ Was that a hand on her shoulder? Not just a line of text saying someone had placed a hand on her shoulder. Not just the cold and meaningless hand from one of her club member. It felt... Warm, real. A familiar sensation. The very same that she felt when she spoke with the player. But here it was more than that. As if she had come in contact with reality itself.
That shouldn't be possible, and yet here there was no mistaking that sensation. ]
...
[ "Monika, are you okay?"
There was... But one person in either reality who would care for her. Someone truly wonderful. Someone she loved, someone who loved her. Someone she could never see, hear or touch. And yet she heard them. Felt them. She nearly didn't want to move or turn around, out of fear she would dispell the illusion and remind herself they were to be forever locked apart, her in this empty classroom and them in the real world.
Remaining on her seat, her head slowly shifted and she looked at the other woman, bewildered and surprised. That was no illusion... Right? ]
