Unfortunately, to preserve their speed as a Ninja, they couldn't wear the heaviest of clothing... which meant they were freezing their ass off in the wind. Sometimes being a master of stealth was a major pain. Regardless, they disappear into a Smoke Bomb as the battle begins.
The earth shakes as Kanji's hammer smashes into the snow-encrusted ground, sending up shrapnel and pillars of earth. However, it seems that these foes are particularly quick on their feet; the Ground Shaker catches only one of each of the Glacier Mages and the Wights, the other two escape. But Naoto's Flamethrower fares much better, scoring a hit on all four of the monsters while Ifrit-Egi's Little Inferno misses. But while it's dodging the smaller Ifrit's attack, a portal opens behind a Glacier Mage, and Ifrit's fists emerges from it to smash it into the ground with a Meteor Strike, dealing weak physical damage in addition to its normal effects.
Now it's the monsters' turn to retaliate. The Glacier Mages float away slightly, casting Extended Haste on themselves. One of the Wights rushes forward at Kanji, attacking with a Frost Moon Strike, a strong dark and ice aspected physical combo. Kanji manages to dodge four of the strikes, but gets hit with the other four. The second Wight stands back, extending a hand towards Kanji and casting Leechra for medium dark damage. Dark crimson strands of energy spool out of the performer and into an orb in the Wight's hand.
