The researcher who led the group there will confirm this should be the temple (what's left of it), though there isn't much to see. There may have been once, but the years of erosion and shifting of earth have not been kind. And they are too busy dealing with the Bahamut threat to keep combing the area themselves.
Once their guide leaves, the party can confirm her words: there is nothing of interest at a glance, simply a great deal of emptiness in hollowed out passages. Navigating through the darkness by the lantern lights will reveal the remnants of rooms, boundaries marked by crumbling walls, but nothing of note.
