"Noct I-" Prompto felt bad because he invoked Luna's name and guilt burned in his stomach. Guilt for not getting to know her, and guilt for the fact she was lost all too young, all too unfairly because Ardyn was an asshole.

He squeezed Noct tightly and shook his head. "I...It makes the most sense you know?"

Prompto was babbling. "If they'd take the change I mean, you're the king and Iggy's your advisor and Gladio's your shield. Everyone's important."

He left the words except me unspoken.

"I can't- I don't know what I'd do without you Noct. It's only been a week and I miss you so much, I just..."

Prompto knew he was skittish, jittery and retreating into his shell without his best friend around and he needed him. "I can't lose you, please. Please Noct."
