Hunk can't help but smile at Connie's rustic affinity towards old paper books. He might've been the same way, but the high-tech far-future alien civilizations kinda blew that out of the water. As such, he's grinning ear to ear at Connie's surprise.
"No gems, but yeah, hard light is pretty common out in space." He says it matter-of-factly, like it's no big deal. "And this one planet even had these, like... brain-computer-nature interfaces that let them manipulate trees and metal like it was nothing!" The Paladin's eyes light up, and it's clear that even he is impressed.
