Now that she's calmed down, he feels more invading than helpful. Even so, he makes no move to leave or even really wants to. When she lets go, he allows himself to sit back more comfortably and just listens to the silence between them, still making sure people don't come over. He'll wait for her lead, if she gives any, and just takes the moment to quiet his own demons.
