Clarus rolled his eyes at his friend. "It is not a weakness to love animals, Cor," he scolded, but he's teasing of course. "Though I believe you have the same affliction, unless you mean to tell me that one climbed there itself." Which was possible, but Clarus thought if Cor didn't like it he would have shaken it off before it reached the top.

"How does a place become so overrun with cats?" he asked rhetorically, chuckling to himself as he continued to pet the furry animals currently vying for his lap and attention.
