It's likely a name she'll start hearing in a couple years, especially in the world of politics. Shido only really started gaining notoriety after he had a certain ally on his side, after all.
Once again though, it's both blessing and curse that Naoto is so sharp. Able to draw that connection. There's a long (probably telling) silence, before she nods slowly.
"Officially, my mom's death was ruled as a suicide," The irony - given what they'd just talked about with Ren - is not lost on her, and her mouth quirks the tiniest bit, though there's no humor behind the expression. "We were out on a walk together when she just... fell into the road." she cuts herself off there curling in on herself a bit. Naoto can probably get the impression what happened.
"After she died, these... men, in black coats came in and took over the investigation. They found a suicide note... where Mom listed all of her complaints about me. 'Maternity neurosis,' they called it." There's a lot she could say here. About how they'd scolded her for 'causing her mother so much trouble.' How they'd read the note aloud to her personally, then to her relatives and neighbors. How stupidly fallible human memory was. How, with enough doubt and suggestion, you could probably believe anything. That even your own mother hated you.
Instead, she continues, "Except what really happened is that she suffered a mental shutdown. It's what happens when someone's Shadow is killed in the Metaverse. When that happens, in reality... the person just stops responding. Basically go catatonic. And depending on when and where it happens..."

The results could be very deadly indeed.
