Housing [Right. First order of business is getting settled in. He takes the key given to him, and stares at the number on it.]
...I know this number.
[How could he not, when it had been... It had been his home for so long? Unless asked about it, he would make his way to the 14th District, and when he reached the house he was given a key to, he nearly drops it as he stops and stares at it from the curb.]
It... It even looks like it.
[Takeshi stares at the house, alarms going off in his head. It's too similar. Way too similar. If he closed his eyes, he could still hear Minato's light snoring as he napped in the garden in the front yard. Could almost hear Sora and Namine's laughter from inside. See his younger self and Ventus sitting at the front door, just talking. His heart ached to hear them again, even though he knew those days were long gone. That another Sora than the one who'd helped him face his Shadow is here, still so carefree and happy.
He forces himself to enter, feeling like he just stepped through a rift in time and space. He didn't realize just how bad it was until he stepped across the threshold.]
Midnight Airship [One of the first things he learned as an Assassin was that having a height advantage to gaze down upon the sights was key. And, while it is harder to make out things at night, he can't help but at least be curious.
Thankfully, he seems to be very much not a target of that green Hypello and completely ignored for his apparent age. Yet to say he hasn't been keeping one eye trained on them would be a lie...]
Shopping [It's a good thing Takeshi has been frugal with his spending, and, if he's honest, been probably eating way less than he should. (While he's gotten better over the years, some habits die hard.) Because, when he comes across the merchant selling contact lenses, he ends up splurging a little to buy one pair each of the colors red and blue. As fun as it would be to prank a certain someone with yellow eyes, Takeshi knew better.]
No green, though? And you won't be in stock for a while?
["I'm afraid not in time for the festival to draw to a close," the merchant says regretably.]
I see. Thanks. [He'll just have to settle for red vs blue jokes.]
Expositions and Memories - Warning for slight PTSD mentions [To say he wasn't interested in this world's history would be an understatement. Not because of similarities he's already seen in this world and the one he was previously in, but a natural curiosity he just couldn't shake. Well, as natural as anything he has ever is. Though he's long since stopped dwelling on that.
Though in hindsight, he probably should have forseen that they would have things that were familiar to him. Far, far too familiar. Yet when he reaches the exhibit of the fragments that belonged (allegedly) to the WEAPONs, Takeshi freezes. His pupils shrink to pinpricks as he stares at them in horror.
He stares, and he stares, before he shakes his head; trying to clear his head as his mind brings back images from his time in Crystallis. To think that they left such dangerous things in public where any could see-
...He needs some air.]
